Jo Wells has worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years both in international humanitarian aid overseas and in the UK. As well as working on front line operations in natural disasters and conflict, she managed a policy team, has led research, and been involved in multi-agency global initiatives around standard setting. In humanitarian aid Jo had a particular focus on how the most vulnerable are integrated into effective responses. For the past four years, Jo has been the Director of The Blagrave Trust that partners with charities working with disadvantaged young people in the UK. She is passionate about ensuring that people who use services have a voice in decisions affecting them and that funding systems enable user led service design and delivery.
