Penny East, SafeLives

Penny East is Head of Communications at SafeLives, a national domestic abuse charity. She leads the external relations strategies for a number of initiative and campaigns, such as working on public health solutions to abuse, shifting the narrative around perpetrators, and exploring how to utilise tech to support survivors. She is currently a Clore Social Leadership Fellow, specialising in gender equality. She has previously worked at Comic Relief and Spirit of 2012. Penny originally trained as a journalist and is a keen writer.
