Sarah has spent almost 30 years leading charities that tackle issues such as poverty, social injustice and inequality. As the CEO of The Brain Tumour Charity, she’s working to reverse years of underfunding and neglect of a disease that kills more children and adults under 40 in the UK than any other cancer. The charity, under Sarah’s leadership, has seen significant growth, from a turnover of £1.4M to £10M, from 6 to 100 passionate and pioneering people in the team and now has global presence. The charity has undergone a number of mergers in this time. The five-year strategy seeks to double survival and halve the harm that brain tumours have on quality of life.
